Ivy Bridge E pricing

I fail to get excited about CPUs these days. What's the point of pushing technology which simply doesn't need to be pushed?

Also the words "deal" and "Intel" are somewhat incompatible with each other since about 5 years ago - ever since the words "AMD" and "better" became incompatible with each other as well.
