I tried one time up at Big Bear and quit after about 3 hours. It was too hurtful to my pride.

Snowboarding's a blast. I used to ski and gave it up after a couple of hours playing around on a snow board on a bunny slope. I taught my wife how to do it in a couple of hours-she's not good but she's competent and can get on, off the lifts and do the greens and easy blues. My brothers and I like to do the blacks and double blacks if we're feeling stupid, which is most of the time :) I'll have to see if I can dig up some video of any of that.

Shred that shit!!!! GEt iT! Lol!1

I grew up on a mountain that was a 10m drive from my house, Ive been on skiis since I could walk dude lol I absolutely love it! It's almost better than sex. I also boarded for about 4 years throughout highschool, and some college. I love the board, but I have way more freedom and less hassel on skiis. I got a pair of skii blades for christmas a few years ago, and they are perfect for park moguls and glades but they are so unstable at high rates of speed, especially when your on ungroomed shit, with high powder drifts, there isnt enough surface area to slow down and cut the snow so you skid pretty far if you eat it.

Cool vid dude! Bend your knees more!!! like your doing a squat. Lower center of gravity = on your ass less.

I am sorry Lex, but NOTHING is better than sex, except more sex! My method of skiing, etc. was always go downhill fast, if anything gets in the way - turn. Don't want to go all Sonny Bono, right?

Big Bear was a lot of fun. Lived just down the road 6 years taking in all the small resorts around Big Bear and Arrowhead, Mountain High, Snow Summit, Mammoth, etc. Never got into snowboarding but skiing was a blast.

lol no kidding. I was stationed in CA like Sgtdeadred ('cept I was at Edwards) and tried at Big Bear, then Mammoth. Change of venue did nothing for my lack of skill. Snow is kinda hard when you hit it fast enough, turns out.
