Has anyone ever done a mini-itx build? I've been looking to make a new computer for my Living room and I want it to be as small as possible so mini-itx right? The question I have is the cases for the form factor the PSU would be right above where the Mobo is right where the fan for the CPU would normally go, I know Zalman makes a small heat sink and fan but I don't know if its small enough

You don't think they make a head sink and fan small enough? Shit shut down all the servers! 1U server racks are 1.75 inches tall and they manage to keep socket 2011 Xeon's cool enough to survive. However those configurations are using noisy high speed fans.

Never done one myself but there is a good variety http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/mini-itx-cpu-air-cooler-round-up,4406.html

I know they make a small form fan but I would need to look at one in real life to determine if it would work The PSU is awfully close to the mobo
