I haven't changed any settings, my mic is not muted via hardware or windows, yet TS shows my mic as disabled and when I try to test it in TS it says it's unable to capture sound from that device. Anybody know how to fix this?

Does your mic still work? Test it outside of TS, right click on the speaker icon in your tray at the bottom right corner of the screen. Then left click on recording devices and talking into your mic. You should be able to see the level bar moving when you talk. If not there is probably something wrong with the mic itself. Also I didn't update to the latest version, if you did it's possible that is the problem.

Capture.PNGMy settings. This happened to me many moons ago and the second icon at the top of TS was highlighted "Activate Microphone". I believe once I clicked on this it started working again. I assume you've tried unplugging the mic and plugging back up?

Mic works outside of TS, I changed no settings, it worked last night. Red, all the options you mentioned are active in my TS. I see no reason for this at all.

Well, all I did was restart windows and do a mic test in TS and it works again...bizarre.

Yes and he got it working also. I don't know exactly what he did but he had to go into the settings and choose something and it worked fine. Thanks for the help off the rails. My issue with TS3 is that each time I log on I have to go into settings and choose my microphone it doesn't save it automatically and I have to do a test to make sure I don't sound like a chipmunk. Anyone know of a fix for this?

In aircraft maintenance we call that PFM. Pure fucking magic. first thing you do is restart the system and see if the fault has gone away.

Is the mic you want to use for TS set as the default in control panel?
