needing a new motherboard and processor

I'll b gone for a week to three depending on money. And I'm switching from a i5 3570k to a 8350 and maybe staying with sabertooth Idk what motherboard go with yet for amd

Eh might be nice if your doing alot of video encoding maybe folding. Performance will be about the same gaming. Sucks you had problems period but the chances of a bad build are very very high its a miracle anyone every gets a full set of working parts.
 
I heard Intel more for everything and going amd is more for gaming and that's it lol
 
Personally would never touch an AMD again after 1 bust GPU, 2 dodgy mobos and CPU's seen in the family over the past couple years. IMO still intel, there are bound to be some more CPU intensive games coming and they are just so much better.
 
AMD processors are know for price/performance meaning every dollar you spend on a AMD processor is what you get for performance. There is a rule about processors about 220 you get diminishing returns on your processor. Going Intel is Great if you have boat loads of cash also if you are not brand loyal to AMD. With AMD processors you do get your moneys worth if your a budget gamer

You don't need a boatload of cash. You'd need about 50 bucks to snag the best consumer Intel over the best consumer and chip. Unless AMD has started selling server CPUs to consumers like Intel does.

The price id get a new 3570K for is the same as the 8350 is. The 8350 has better performance in highly threaded tasks and worse performance when not.

The day I built my PC there was not an AMD CPU in existence for 179 that would provide the same performance. They have stepped up a little since then but since sandy bridge the price gap isn't as big as it used to be.
