Hey guys, I have a ridiculously stupid issue which is caused by a very stubborn person(I hope)
Okay, we're on the same net, ISP says it's 60mb/s, we only get 30, but that's not the issue, the issue is that whenever that **** fires up his pc, i need to take out the harris to connect to the net, which is quite a nuisance and living in a concrete jungle, not very fast, either.
We have 2 other net users in the same flat, when they come on, it's all well and no pain.
Now, about the ****'s configuration,
He's got a 1gb non-wireless card cabled to the 100mb wireless router. By logic, to me, it seems that he's net card is with a way too large capacity, which put together with the cable equals with "taking" all the net and leaving none for the rest, the theory seemed to be proven when we used an USB modem, which only took away half the net, but which angered him because the net wasn't as fast as it was before (which really pissed us off because all he does is read the news and watch porn) - is the greedy non-sharing issue caused by the net card which is out of the league of the router? If yes, then would it be possible to remove the net card and replace it with an USB modem? ( we haven't tried anything, he's a big and easily angered guy )
If you got this far, thanks for reading, I know Rain will probably be the one to solve this, but meh, help is accepted from anyone with a solution.
Sidenote: He himself believes that the router is faulty and should be thrown out of the window, he doesn't trust wifi much either.
