Okay, so I got Comcast cable internet today and have a Motorala Surfboard sb6121 DOCSIS3.0 Cable Modem and am connected to the internet just fine except....

I can't play BF4. Every time I try to join a server, the loading screen starts up and then closes and I get this message
"ERROR
You were disconnected from EA Online (1)"

I assume it's related to the change in provider or equipment or settings but WTF?

Sixer are you using wireless to connect or are you going direct from the modem?

Also a few possible suggestions:

1. I know it may seem stupid but check Origin and make sure it is in online mode.
2. Trying Renewing your IP. Directions -> http://www.wikihow.com/Refresh-Your-IP-Address-on-a-Windows-Computer
3. If your Router has a reset button try that/ power cycle it
4. Check your Router settings and make sure that the needed ports are open and settings are all correct

If nothing works I will try looking into this some more fore you

Direct from the modem.

How do you check if Origin is in online mode?

Open up Origin, Go to "Origin" drop down menu at the top, and right above Log Out it will say Go Online or Go Offline.

Well...

I power cycled the modem, uninstalled the battlelog browser plugin, restarted the pc. I reinstalled the plugin and viola I can get into games...very weird.

it's a comcast issue. sounds like it righted itself. if it starts happening again comcast will need to open up some ports.

Agree with doc asking for it to be "re-provisioned" will help or to take it off and re add it to the DAC
