I'm going to update some components on my pc: Mobo, CPU, RAM.
CPU: 6700k
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z170x Gaming 7 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128835
RAM: ?
Looking for opinions on the mobo. I went with gigabyte partly because that is what I have now and haven't had any issues. Also, because I wanted two m.2 slots and this board had it at a nice price point. Most other manufacturers' mobos were around $300 to get two m.2 ports.
Is there something the mobo is missing that I should have?
I've built two rigs. I never put much thought into memory. I bought corsair because I knew the name. Then I bought as much as I could afford.
As I was researching mobos I read a lot of reviews that people had issues with memory (across different boards and different manufacturers). Now I want to ensure that I get it right instead of the apparent dumb luck that previously worked for me.
I looked at Gigabyte's approved memory for the board (http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=6028#) and the list shows all memory as native 2133. Does that mean I can only buy 2133 RAM?
I wanted to buy this: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2800 (PC4 22400) memory kit Model CMD32GX4M4A2800C16

However, it's not on the approved list. Does that mean it won't work?
All help is appreciated.
