Since we moved I took the time to install a 420 radiator versus the 360 I had in it previously. It's an XSPC EX420, pretty slim and does a much better job of cooling than the old rad. For instance, at idle right now it's at 25C and my office is 24C. Gaming it runs at 38C.

With the 360 rad it was running 27C in 24C room and 44C gaming at the same room temp. I'm kind of shocked by how much better the temps are but I also did put on new cpu thermal paste, new tubing, coolant, etc.

Anyway, sorry there aren't many good pics. I didn't take any while I was doing the install and what you see is between my desk, which is a pain in the ass to move on wood floors, and the wall.

I should have mounted my in/out towards the front, but the damn wires from optical drive kinda in the way. May change it up next time I change water...I dont often use my optical drive

looks good though Six

Just move the optical drive down one slot and you've got all the room you need. I put the fittings on the rad, install the rad and connect the tubing before putting fans on the bottom. Otherwise, there's no room for your fingers to fit in there. But, I think it looks a little neater than mounted the other way.

yea, it would cut out a massive chunk of tubing running through my case....Like I said, going to change it up a bit when I "spring clean" it. Need to do some more wire management, but the PSU wires just dont do what I need them to do :(

What PSU do you have? The V1000 I have there barely makes it where I need to go, the EVGA ones have plenty of room since their connectors are a little long which is perfect for taller cases.

rosewill 1000w.

The 24x isnt long enough to run behind back, and to the port.....that big ole glob is chilling at bottom...grrrr

I've got an unopened, NIB EVGA G 1000W sitting in my closet. PM me if you're interested.

not e4s...first build, asked wrong buddy when I started getting components compiled.

I just had to pick on you. Its not necessarily any worse an idea than picking any other crap brand such as Coolermaster. Yeah I said it lol Coolermaster. They actually share 2 of the same PSU manufacturers (ATNG & Solytech). Its hit and miss with these brands. Its often best to go with someone like Corsair or EVGA which while they don't make or design the units either they do go to some of the better OEM's and they put a great warranty on it.

the evga psus come with 10yr warranties now too. sweet rig sixer.

Coolermaster now uses Seasonic platform for the V series which is much better. I wouldn't have touched one prior to that; EVGA is using Superflower and I don't know who Corsair uses, can't remember.
