The first 3 I assume you're getting from the upcoming deal. Personally, I don't like the mobo. I'm going to get this most likely for the i5:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157171

It has more connectivity on the back and cheap crossfire support, should I desire it in the future (most probably not, but at least it's there). Also better heatsinks and power I think...

The SSD and processor are way too good to consider anything else.

Case is totally personal preference, so if you like it - you like it. Consider the loudness of fans and availability of fan controllers, as well as dust filters if you need to.

PSU is perfectly fine.

The memory is kinda cheapo. It is 1600Mhz DDR, but it's also cas 9. Why don't you get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227495

It has the EXACT same timings and it's even cheaper.

You realize this is only a reader (even for DVD's) right? I don't see anywhere that it can write DVD's. That might not be a problem for you, and it's fine in that case. I just wanted to make sure you noticed.

Pretty good overall, as far as midrange-ish parts go.

Should be fine.

Let me know when the i5 is available, or even if you can get a second i7 with minimal hassle...

P.S. Oh, I'd also highly recommend getting a better cooler than the complete joke that the i5/i7 come with (you'll be scared when you see it) so you can overclock it to 4ghz, or even higher if you're really adventurous. As far as that goes - the tuniq tower is classic... also Xigmatek Dark Knight / Thor's Hammer, Noctua U12, Prolimatech Megaomfglulzthisisfuckinghugegigapetahalems, and so forth... go to something like Frozencpu.com and enjoy.

great info but the mobo is part of the deal so i might grab it. the bluray reader is all i need. everything else i do is via 8gb jump drive. no burning needed for now. and i will need a hs/fan after the $ has a chance to recover.

Let me know how the 860 works out. If I could make up my mind on a good MB I may go the same direction. Last I checked the 1156 line was limited. EVGA has a few decent boards or should I say the widest range of options.

yea, id get an evga (like my gpu) but im getting a good price on the intel.
