Hi

Nice list.
I would buy 1 x 16GB ram this days, not 2 x 8.
Also would change the PSU to EVGA Supernova or Superflower Leadex, and probably would go with 600-650 W.
And maybe buy a smaller cooler for the CPU, or some closed loop liquid, if OC would be your thing.
As air cooler, i can recommend the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3, this is what i have got too :

My 4790K is ice cold on 4.5 GHz under this cooler.

Best of luck with the build.

Nice looking build. =)

Very similar to my build. I caution you on the noctua cooler. They are very good but very heavy. If you plan on never moving your pc go for it. But it will put a lot of strain on the mobo if you move it around. I would go with a closed loop cooler instead.

@rottenbull I'm not going to ever need more than 32GB of ram, so I'm not worried about spending more in the future for 64.

I've had good luck with corsair coolers. I think @Vordar has a different brand. Something that is at least a 240mm rad.

I've got 32gb of ram... only time I've ever filled it is having a memory leak on h1z1. But that is a buggy game.

I have the corsair cooler and it works perfectly.

Which closed loop would you guys recommend?

Since the z170 chipset can't do quad channel, you gain nothing with 4 x 8GB. What you will lose, is the opportunity to pop in more.
A year ago i would not think i will need more than 16GB, and now im on 32.

agreed with all of what @Iguanidon said. I have a H100i GTX cooler. Runs great, never have an issue. Same amoutn of ram as well, not a problem. I am thinking about getting a 1080 afterall as well. BTW 4790 user as well and it is solid baby. love it

You have some additional external storage drive? that SSD alone will not suffice.

I've had a number of high end builds and I've used the Corsair H100i in all of them. It's a very solid AIO.

Decided to go with the H115i and 2 16gb gskill 3200 dimms. Should be getting all the goodies today. Also added some corsair case fans. Then I just got to wait for the 1080 to come out.

What's your old build and what are you selling? =)
