Pentagon Cancels Medal For Moving A Joystick In An Air-Conditioned Trailer In Nevada

I think that's fair enough. Not exactly dangerous work compared to the guys and gals up front in the fugly shit.

Those are the future heroes. I don't think anyone will be getting any medals in 20 years :-D ...

There was a medal for that?

How do we know you chopper whores aren't actually piloting drones? Do you get that medal? ABOVE the Bronze Star? Jesus.

I didn't mind that there was a medal. What pissed most everyone off was the fact that it was rated higher than a bronze star.

I'm with you Bot. I don't mind giving these guys/gals medals for good work, but it is a far cry from earning a medal on the actual battlefield with your boots on the ground.

I don't have a problem with the fact they want to give a medal either, just not above the Bronze Star. I know that in the Army, you can receive a Bronze Star for "meritorious service". In the Corps, you do not get one without a combat "V" on it. I guess that is just a difference in how it is awarded. However, it should always rank above a drone medal. I assume all the MAV users will go on active duty now?
