We are using VOIP in the office and I am experience some problems with it recently. My calls are choppy and I hear static, Is this problem due to our networks in the office? Have you experienced any of these? Do you think we should change the IT company that handles our networking solutions?

Your VOIP traffic is not getting 1st priority. This happens when not using/setting up a router designed for VOIP. This happened to us recently when our 1 month old $2,000.00 router took a dump, so we plugged in our 4 year old $80.00 router till we get the replacement. Priority isn't set up, so it acts funny if high demands are being placed on the network.

Thank you, Turbo. I will check on it. I hope it is just that. If not, then it is sayonara for this provider. We've been getting proposals for other IT solutions providers and we just might jump ship if things don't go the way they should. I wonder, though, is this something that we can correct from our end or we NEED to correct from our end?

I like your signature, btw. :)

Should be your end if you have someone who knows the network, and how to set priority traffic up on the router
