Radeon R9 280x Reviews

Seems like the usual with AMD regarding driver optimizations. Seems promising though. I'm hoping (and trying to convince the wife) to get the R9 290X but since there are no reviews yet on the top end card, I'm very hesitant. Plus I want to replace my 6990 as even one 7970 can beat it.

I thinking the same thing mate. I might use this in a new build for the father in-law though!
 
Well, if I can get rid of my 6990 I'd be set. But looking at current prices, I can only get about 250 for good condition. Even then, I might be able to get it for less than 500.
