So I pulled the trigger and finished my build with purchasing new RAM. I got 32GB (ROFL I know.) of Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400MHz. So when I set it to anything above the default 1333MHz I noticed my CPU voltages change. As in v my CPU Voltages running at 0.0v - 0.8V etc while just idling the voltages are now a standard 1.2v+ across all cores. (See photo). The only changes I see in AI Suite is the RAM voltage is bumped up to 1.65V v stock 1.5v and the VTTDOR Voltage is bumped from .750V to .825V. Why does that mess with my CPU voltage? Is that normal? It bumps my CPU voltage regardless of what MHz I set the RAM to if it's above 1333MHz. Yet the old RAM runs @ 1600MHz without changing anything. Granted it's just old Stock RAM from a prebuilt.
This is the Before/After if the RAM is on the default 1333MHz

easiest thing is to just snip with snipping tool that or greenshot (free and awesome) and you can paste the image directly into the text field.

1. That's normal don't worry about it
2. 1.65v is common for that memory speed your cpu is safe with the RAM running at 1.65v

Remember that this isn't really 2400mhz RAM, it's a 1600MHZ or depending on the manufacturer it's 1333mhz spec that's been overclocked, thus needing higher voltage than 1.5v. Your settings in the bios, like the VTTDOR Voltage, are going to increase a small amount because technically you are stressing your cpu by running memory that's overclocked.

Anytime you OC the memory you'll see voltage differences in your cpu, but it's more noticeable on the Hero as they are aggressive with their voltages in the bios as this MB is geared towards over clocking but the bottom line is your hardware is safe and the voltage changes ensure it runs stable.

So basically, if I want to run this RAM at anything above the 1333MHz it is going to increase my CPU voltage by default and I can't do anything about that correct? If so I guess I'll just inc my CPU speed since it jumps up my CPU voltage. I just liked the default set up my CPU has. It runs pretty much all the time around 4.3-4.4 and sits between 0.0-1.0 Volts. Thats just awesome for temps/energy savings. I had a 5c temp difference just between idle temps. lol

Yeah, that's about the size of it. But like I told someone earlier, can't remember who, go in the bios and turn off the Asus multicore enhancement-this forces your cpu to run in turbo mode all the time which is why you're seeing it at 4.3-4.4ghz constantly. If you turn this off, the turbo is applied when "needed" and at idle the cpu will sit at 4.0ghz, using less voltage anyway. That said, running the memory at 2400mhz shouldn't increase your cpu temps by more than 1 or maybe 2c.
