I should have wrote about this earlier. After eight hard years. The power supply on my N3235W started going bad about a month ago. Instead of using it till it burnt out. I took it apart to find some numbers to replace it. Found what I needed and searched. I got lead to a company CPUtopia. Looked at the picture. Which was the same one I was looking at in front of me and the price seemed great. Viewsonic N3235W LCD TV Power Supply Replacement - Viewsonic Power Supplies

So I ordered it on friday. Today I get an E-mail "NOTE ON TRACKING NUMBERS: If you have received a tracking number that is not yet showing up in the Fedex or UPS database (either through Fedex.com or UPS.com), the problem is more than likely with the UPS update schedule. Oftentimes UPS takes up to 1-2 days to update their tracking number database and until that time, you will receive one of their various error messages. Please allow for this period of time to pass before contacting us about a problem with your tracking number." and was taken back by this. I've shipped and received a lot in my time. I have never seen this before. So right off the bat I think I'm getting scammed. So I look up reviews of the company and didn't like my finding. Come to find out that it's not O.E. parts but aftermarket. I wanted O.E. and thought that's what I was buying. Needless to say. I learned something today. So were does one go for replacement parts. That is upfront and reliable?

For OEM parts you have to go through channels they provide usually. Have you gone to the Viewsonic parts website? Parts are usually hidden pretty well, since they don't want customers doing their own repairs. That would invalidate the warranty. Duh! Lol

Wants wrong with the aftermarket part?

I did try but the site suck's. http://store.viewsonic.com/html/ibe...=-200&kw=N3235W&ds=0&dr=50&st=kw&cpg=0&bo=and
The original lasted so long. I just hope the aftermarket holds up the same. It would have just been nice if they stated that with the part. My monitor is so old. Theirs no warranty. Plus I payed 325 for it and now they want 500 for it. Fuck that.

Trash it or sell on ebay for $50 for spare parts, and get a 1080p 35-37" for $400 or less. You'll be much happier IMO.
