*Game:
Battlefield 4

*Server Name:
-|TBG|- 24/7 LOCKER NO RESTRICTION

*Date/time:
2/7/14 ~10pm PST

*Player Name:
[TBG]CarpTarts

*Offense:
Admin abuse. Continued to harass me and say I was cheating. Threatened me.

Evidence:
Started recording video after he was doing @cap on me, whatever that is.

Comments:
Saw him ban some other guy because he thought the guy did too much damage. I don't think he knows how the game works or the limitations of the netcode and is using his admin power to ruin the gaming experience of those using your servers. I always have a good time on your server and have pulled others there. This was not a nice representation of what I've seen from TBGClan before, so I have to think this is just a bad egg.

Please wait for carp to chime in on this i took a look at your stats if does not seem to be anything out of the ordinary. Maybe there is something more to the story from his side.

Pretty normal paths for any one using them not hard to shoot someone on the same run path many times

Not sure what you mean, Tactical. You can see the video. In the first one I spawn B while C is under attack to push outside because someone on my team says "OUTSIDE C". As I go outside, I see him cross and q-spot. From there he's on the mini and I can clearly see where he went. Pretty simple. The second one I die from someone outside B so I spawn A so I can try to stop them pushing in A and I see his head pop up right after I spawn. The very first time I caught him there, which I didn't capture video for because I wasn't recording until he started making hackusations, he was on my right as I was running up the lane and I heard steps. I turned and saw a head pop up, similar to what I had in the video. He make his hackusation, thought nothing of it because people whine all the time. Second time I just checked the spot because it was one I knew people were using and saw the head again and got him and I think that's when he started going crazy doing @cap (what is that, btw?) and then I started recording.

I've been a competitive gamer for ~22 years now. I work in the gaming industry. I'm used to being called hacks, although much less in my older years since I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be. But not by admins. At least not by admins from a large gaming community/clan.

@cap captures a pbbans screenshot that allows the viewer to check it for possible hacking, etc. I will let CartTarts address the other concerns. Please be patient, thank you.

I was wondering when you'd get around to this.

I certainly did begin capping. This exchange between you and I wasn't the first time you'd run right up to where one of my squad was and began firing. I usually run shadow perk with silenced weapons. This was the case here. I hadn't run, I hadn't moved, I hadn't had team mates spawn on me, spotted anyone or so much as had lint land on me. But you "heard" me. I play with a headset. I heard your footsteps coming, right to the position directly above me. You didn't run directly to the spawn beacon, which was a good distance off from my position (and between your spawn at A and my position half way between A and B). Our verbal exchange about it didn't satisfy me in any way. I only wish you could have heard the verbal chatter.

Again, what you haven't had captured in these recordings are the number of times in other places on the map where you'd done the exact same thing. In the clinic. In the prisons on both floors. All over the area at E. You consistently were able to bee line directly to me. Not only me. My squadmates. My team mates. Yes, I do find that suspicious. Competitive player, gaming industry worker, I don't care if you're hard wired into your computer...it's suspicious.

The other player was clearly damage modding. With all your experience in gaming, I'm sure you've been on the end of that. I'll always look into players that can shut down entire lanes and indeed teams on their own. Always. So not to flatter you but you made the list. So did a squad mate of mine.

Thank you for your video.

What I did capture were specific instances where you made the hackusation and the video clearly shows how easy it was to know where you were without any hacking necessary. I actually have the entire evening recorded from the first moment in that video to the point I left the server. That video is very large as it captures three or four rounds. I cut to just the parts where you made your hackusations. I have no idea what you're talking about with the rest other than your paranoia was already in full force so just about every time I frag you is going to make you cry wolf.

Play smart. Use queues. Watch your minimap. If there's a dead teammate in an area, guess what? There's an enemy in that area! If a flag is holding steady in an uncapped position, there's someone on the flag radius with you. On D, if you can't see them clearly, they're most likely in a jail cell or down behind the pillars by the lower stairs. If none of your team is outside, the most likely the enemy is outside pushing for a back cap. If someone fires their gun (unless they have a silencer), it shows up on the minimap. You really should always be able to tell where people are by being used to game queues from the minimap, situational awareness, and your ears.

In any event, the video is there and clearly shows you making hackusations without warrant. You were wrong. Plainly and clearly with no room to argue the point. And yet you sit here and defend it. That is not the sign of a good admin. In fact, it's a dangerous combination. An individual who isn't well versed in the game mechanics believing his own opinion over the evidence who has admin authority. And yes, I've come across all sorts of cheats in my time, however, it's difficult to trust your judgement given this incident. For all I know that user was used to aiming at the head from CS:GO or Unreal Tournament gaming and you just couldn't believe he killed you so easily.

Thank you for listing your online gaming credentials as well as your work experience. They raise you above all suspicion.

Thank you also for the online gaming lesson. The tips you've given there will no doubt make us all better players.

I know the game in question well enough. I know the TTK, bullet velocities and scatter plots of many weapons and have access to them at a whim. I know the perks and how they work. The net code is not in question here. The player that was removed is also not in question. Were I want to abuse my admin powers, all manner of other things are at my disposal. Not a single one of the powers I could abuse was abused.

You came and posted, I have responded. It seems that I besmirched your honour. You are not satisfied with my response. That is unfortunate but there it is.

I'm leaving this to the Head Admins. No further discussion between you and I will be productive.
