Im just having a whole lot of crap going on my computer. I swear everytime i talk about upgrading these take a crap and doesnt help its case. im having some video trouble again with my 2 msi 7950s. Its come to a point im about to either rma again, sell as is, mod (wc) or just trash. What you guys think?

The issue if anyone was curious what's going on as far as i can tell is the fans arnt spinning when its supposed to. I get video but cant game long due to heat and shut down.

If anyone knows a setup for just 2 gpus no cpu I'd consider trying that.

Why not just replace the stock fan and shroud with an aftermarket cooler and be done with it? Other than that, if you're going to be spending money anyway, why not upgrade the video cards to one powerhouse or crossfire again? Me, I'd see about replacing the stock fans if I was happy with everything else.

A few of the closed loop systems, like single 120mm radiator/pump combos can hook directly to the video cards these days. You could also try to get a couple of those .

I have no idea on this but if you do decide to sell it let me know a buddy of mine is looking for a rig.

Krazy_fanboy, remove one card and see how a single card fan acts. If fan still does not work re-install the drivers.
If fan works remove the card and try the other card. If fan works then if you had re-installed the drivers your problem might be solve, put in first card try both again.
If fans all stop working then the problem is most likely the drivers.

You should test each card separately.

Is the SLI Bridge strap installed correctly?

Are both cards getting the power they need?

Also you might have update your motherboard BIOS depending on the release notes.

If you are using MSI Afterburner is there a linear fan graph that you dick'd with? Or maybe remove Afterburner and see if it has any affect.

Looking around the Internet some people have been told to return their card. Seems strange for you to have two bad cards.

I have an Evga GTX 980 FTW 4 gb card. The fans where not running. I contacted support and the card fans to not work until temp is above 65c.
Is something like this true with the ATI cards you have?

Video of some guy putting in ATI Crossfire cards:

What would you sell them for if you don't mind me asking?
