If anybody wants to do this it's safe from what I understand as the 6950s have a dual bios so even if you fuck up flashing the bios it will revert to the default 6950. Anyway, here's the tools you'll need

Six, you ever try out OmegaDrivers.net | ATI/NVIDIA Omega Driver's Home, PC Gaming Drivers & News! for any of your video cards in your gaming rig? I haven't used their drivers for a long time now, but I swear there was a difference between these and the ATi drivers I used to run for my old card. I'm also wondering if they would still be compatible after flashing a card like this.

That is great tutorial and a great savings for those that do it. Wish I would have gotten one of those instead of the card I did purchase. I imagine they will put a stop to it in some way soon. I have heard of Omega, but have never used them.

I've heard of Omega too, but never tried them; always afraid of bricking my gpu. The new AMD cards have the dual bios though, so it'd be worth unlocking the 6950 for sure.

I've seen several videos now of how to do it. Save some money by getting the 50s and flashing the cards bios to the 70s.
