Normally expansion packs mean patches will be released with them to unlock them.
As soon as our provider do the patching I can install it on our servers almost instantly (phone is a wonderful tool these days).
Not all servers will be having it though. If you want all the new maps on one server either the premium maps only server (expansion), all maps conquest and rush.
Domination/air maps and infantry will run on vanilla still unless more people get premium.
If metro is an enjoyable map probably make that a 24.7 server instead of a metro/locker server
