Should I go back to RAID 0?

With the subject of SSDs for my new build coming up I started thinking. Should i put my 320's back in the laptop and do RAID 0? Should improve game load times and the ability to record with fraps.

The only thing I could never figure out was how to do a dual boot install on a raid partition. The downside to this and why I ask is I will be losing HDD capacity since I have a 500GB as my primary atm. All of these drives are 7200 rpm and the 320s are a matched pair.

raid 0 risky...... has 2 raptors fail in raid 0 not sure how ssds would hold out, ssds are great alone without raid 0

Yeah its risky and my 500GB has a drop sensor which is why I switched. Not gonna buy SSD's for this though even though I could use it in the desktop later 2.5 inch drives aint cheap!

I've been running 2 WD Caviar Black 640 GB in RAID 0 for 2 years now with zero issues. If you're worried about data integrity then don't do it but if speed is your concern it's a good bang for the buck. I also have my machine setup to back up to an external HD so I don't have to worry too much about disk failure.
