Shouting at your hard drive is bad for performance.

Interesting. Sounds really noisy in that room to begin with. Maybe he is creating a strong harmonic when yelling at the drive. lol

I assume that the noise causes the hard drive head(s) to vibrate. However I doubt that noise will affect ssd drives.
 
I just bought a Samsung 850 Pro that I am eager to have installed. I have had several Western Digital drives fail a few years back.

I'd like to get one of those drives. I recently installed a PNY 240 GB SSD with a gift card that I had from Best Buy. Best bang for the buck that I've ever done to my PC. Set up 140 GB partition for OS, 100 GB for storage (BF3 & 4) and use Acronis to do backup images of both partitions to a 500 GB partition on half of a 1 TB Seagate drive, then a copy of the 1 TB to another partition on a 2 TB Seagate.
