Has anyone else had any problems with silvelight video player crashing on Chrome? It BSOD my whole computer after about a half hour, I think its a memory overrun. Any alternative to it or maybe someone knows how to fix the DRM issues that Firefox has with silverlight.

I used to get a silver light crash all the time when I would watch amazon prime tv or movies on my comp. I don't remember what I did to fix it as this happened years ago but it is definitely a problem many have had.

That is exactly the problem I am having. I'm trying to watch Generation Kill.

I did thats where I come a cross a DRM issue that wont let silverlight run. I updated Firefox and looked at some help links. I am hoping someone else has dealt with this and has an easy answer if not I'll go though the steps on the help section. I just really don't like deleting files through Windows registry...

I had that a while ago and all I did was update Chrome. Go to settings and click About on Left Side and see if you're up to date.

That might be it. I'll give it a shot tonight and see if it worked.

I've never had issues with Firefox and Silverlight. There is probably a setting in Silverlight that can be chsnged. OR there is an add on you can get from the Firefox community to fix it.

Well it wasnt the update to Chrome... Firefox is up to date I might just try a fresh install here that might do the trick.

I had to give up on Chrome and switch to firefox....nothing worked. I'm not sure what was causing it. Also the fact that my framerate dramatically drops every time I had chrome open when trying to play a game or even watch netflix. I reluctantly switched to firefox and have not experienced the issues since.

Fitz, when you do Uninstaller run a registry cleaner. Might be a good idea to Uninstaller both Silverlight and Firefox. Then install Silverlight first, then firefox.

I ran firefox for years and then all of a sudden it became a problem and it didn't work right.

Irish can you recommend a registry cleaner I always feel those are some type of scam.

CCleaner is what I typically use. Just run it over and over until you get nothing back.

Yea Amazon uses it and I do not like it.

I'll run it tomorrow if I don't work 12 hours, which I probably will.

I appreciate everyones help with this, if anyone else has any ideas feel free to let it rip, this is quite annoying. I have noticed it only happens in full screen.
