After testing out Vegas Pro (I have Movie Studio 11) I was tempted to go evil and crack it. The GPU accelerated encoding let me encode an 11 minute gun master round in oh about 11 minutes rather than the 30+ minutes it took before. Native 64 bit support doesnt hurt either. The lack of higher bitrate and profile support in the H.264 encoder in Movie Studio bummed me out coming from Adobe Premiere Pro.

All thats over now. Looks like it just came out this month. But Movie Studio 12 is out and they took the name Vegas out of it, after all Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11 Production Suite was kinda long...

GPU acclerated encoding, much more options in encoding. They increased the Video/Audio streams to 20, your luck to find more than 2 in consumer video editors. Most people wont use too many unless blending a ton of effects, overlays, etc. Key frames have been reworked and are more powerful now. These are used for animating things, not like transitions etc but special effects edits and what not though they do have their basic uses. They added a button for splitting video which used to have to use a hotkey and new users would not know what the hell to do.

If your looking for something legit Sony Movie Studio just fucking hit a new high note with me. Hell I would have waited to get this version in the first place had I known it was going to exist.
