Sound Card help

ASUS Xonar Essence STX is the card im looking in to. but how would i send my audio to my Live Gamer HD ( which has a 3.5 mm for adio). if i would need to get a cord to rec should plz let me know :D.
or whats another card thats this good or better for around the same price.
i dont know much about pcs just getting to learn more :D

i have Audio Technica ATH-AD700 for my headphones i do have the adapter for bigger than 3.5 inch for the mic cord
 
I have the Asus Xonar Essence STX. You'll need 1 3.5mm adapter for you headphones if you use them and one 3.5 mm audio connector to go from the Xonar audio out to the Live Gamer Audio in port. That is, if your Live Gamer did not come with a 3.5mm connector.
 
My headphones r 3.5 and I have a 3.5 on the live gamer hd so I wouldn't need anything or would I?
 
and i got a 3.5 cord from walfuck a while back as well for the thing im using now
