i got a asus stx and sent it back cause it buzzed a lot while playing bf3 and a little while not playing bf3. and i am using a sound blaster reacon till i get a Asus Phoebus. I moved my gtx 680 to the bottom so the fans wouldnt b blowing on it and it still buzzes. any thoughts? and if it happens with the Phoebus i might just stick with onboard lol

is there even a difference in audio from on board to a sound card?

I heard the difference I know someone that has the Phoebus. I wanna get that buzzing away so I can rec

Did you try the settings in the Xonar user interface?

To fix the problem, open up the Xonar UI and go to the DSP mode switches, try messing with the different DSP modes until the problem is fixed.

You can see the DSP mode buttons lower right on the Xonar UI, the picture might help.

I can't recall exactly which DSP button made a difference but just pushing different ones fixed the problem straight away

Edit: I forget which one does it, but on the bottom right if one of those is clicked it might cause a buzzing sound. I don't know if you checked this before

Update-That buzzing sound, for whatever reason, is also related to having Silverlight installed on Win. Don't ask me why, but if you uncheck the DSP (I think) in the UI for Asus that eliminates the buzzing noise. Why didn't you say something before sending it back??? It's a software problem not a hardware.

I have my DSP set on GAME. Maybe once a week or less I have a problem with the buzz starting up. It's usually when I start up something else and it causes a conflict or I click on something and the 1,000,000th sec timing causes it to hang up.
