SSD deal... of the year?

I'm going to make a decent SSD part of my system overhaul in a month or so and I've been looking at a few options. Then this turned up in my inbox and caught my eye:

If that price is including the VAT then it should be the best price for ya. Only one I found close was Sandisk 120GB Extreme SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Drive (SDSSDX-120G-G25) - dabs.com


You sure you want sandisk though and not ocz? I'm not an ssd expert but it seemed like ocz is cheaper and better.

Well if thats the case, then I'd say DEFINITELY do some research. All SSD's are not created equal, even of the same brand. Different generations have vastly different specs on em as well as performances.

In your area maybe. Someone linked me a 120 Gig drive, one I would actually buy for 89 after rebate like 120 before so around the same price if i didnt get screwed. SSD prices are hitting a us dollar per gb now so I wouldnt say of the year, especially since we have 6 months left to go

I'd stay away from OCZ, but that's just me. I've read too many reviews where they use substandard modules for their agility series. Balls had OCZ SSDs and I know he had problems with them too. SanDisk has been steady and reliable if unspectacular in all the reviews I've read. Check out the reviews before you make a decision.

I got a sansdisk mp3 player it was not working the first day... i got a replacement and it broke 3 weeks later. so i got another one and it has been intermittent since i got it...
All things considered I would stay away from anything they make as it is not quality. You get what you pay for.
If your going to upgrade then make it worth it and buy a nice one.
