I just picked up two of these from my local Micro Center (yes, they're still around...)
http://www.microcenter.com/product/384780/EQ276W_27_IPS_LED_Monitor
Key points:
These are basically the same panels Dell and Apple use in their $1000 27" screens. Everything about them screams spartan. The stand is garbage, the fact that it has a power brick vs integral convertor is... strange. And it's annoying not having a USB hub integrated; I usually make good use of those. The most important bit is that the color is way F'd up from the factory so it desperately needs to be profiled.
But, for $400? Hard to complain too loudly.
I'm liking mine so far. I'm not gaming with them; I have them connected to my video editing rig. The reviews of them say they game just fine, but I can't say for sure.
