It should be remembered that EB normally apply a 2 minute kick for the above violations and its the proactive admin or 3rd party anti cheat service that apply the actual ban.
EvenBalance always have the last word when a cheat violation is raised directly by their own software, but as the actual ban is issued by PBBans.com its best practice to include us in the appeal procedure.
The player can do this by clicking the "appeal this ban" tab and following the simple instructions provided.
This will include raising a troubleticket directly with EvenBalance and that should include as much information as possible as to why the player thinks this is a "false positive".
It's always a good idea to list all processes that were running at the time the violation was raised (antivirus / chat programmes etc etc )
The key word with any troubleticket query is patience, EB get a hell of a lot of queries and response time is dependent on how busy they are.
Normal response time is 48 - 72 hours.
If a globalguid ban is issued by evenbalanceto accompany any of the cheat violations listed above it is completely out of our hands,
Evenbalance themselves issue, enforce, maintain, and support everything related to globalguid bans.
PBBans have no input what so ever.
Just to sum things up, we have no choice but to do what we have always done in the past.
We have to rely on evenbalance to confirm if a cheat violation is a valid violation or not, as the case may be.
As long as EB confirm that raised cheat violations are valid we will stick to the tried and trusted procedures we have always used in the past.
Anyone who raises a cheat violation will be set to restricted and anyone who is restricted will not be a part of anything PBBans related.
Some players who claim to have raised a cheat violation and are claiming "false positive" but are not set to restricted, are players who have raised the violation on a server that is not streaming via PBBans.
We can only set players to restricted when we are in receipt of the actual streamed log information that proves the cheat violation actually took place.
There may be a scenario were an SGA has a globalguid ban because of a raised cheat violation of some type, we will not set the forum account of the SGA to restricted or suspend the team account if we have no evidence (streamed log information) that the violation actually took place.
Last but not least, the only way to contest a cheat violation as a "false positive" is to raise a troubleticket with evenbalance.
They are normally pretty quick to declare a false positive when one crops up but untill they make that declaration our hands are tied.
Best of luck to all involved
