US Military Opens Combat-Related Jobs to Women

I have seen some Female soldiers that are athletes and out perform their male counterparts, and would be great in a combat environment; some that would perform just as proficient as males soldiers. However in the same token, I think that the integration of Females soldiers in occupational specialties that are oriented in a physically demanding and stress potent environment should be heavily re-evaluated. It's mission dependent honestly. I have worked with Female Pilots who have been in combat, and perform in an excellent manner, however would I be as bold as to say that a Female solider would face some challenges if placed in an infantry platoon for example, absolutely.
 
Why is this news? Females can die just as equally as males in support of, uh, whatever it is nowadays (freedom, General Motors, etc.)...doesn't matter what those in the field think, justified or not. I'm sure everyone's opinion was carefully weighed *snicker*. Votes count, and this is a big feather in someone's hat.

This administration has done more long term damage to the military than every administration before it combined. Ended DADT, cancelled 60% of the F22 Raptor appropriations, opened up combat billets to females, trying to cut half a trillion dollars from the budget BEFORE the mandatory sequestration that is going to take another $600 billion on top of the half trillion and of course we can't forget buying GM and closing down Hummer. Why don't Democrats just come out and say that they hate the military and quit all the posturing and bull shit? Clinton was almost as bad as Obama, but not quite. Now, if the military was deployed to say Georgia to protect planned parenthood clinics, they would be funding the shit out of the military and treating it properly. I never met a single female in the Corps who could even come close to physically competing with the weakest male in our unit. The females who did their jobs half as well as the males were a rarity and Renno let's not start on the physical fitness double standards. Of the 20 or so female Marines I served with exactly 2 were competent.

I almost forgot, this administration also announced today that the Navy will be naming a new Littoral Combat Ship after Giffords (insert crude joke here).

In a statement, the secretary of the navy, Ray Mabus, described Giffords and Roxanna Green as “sources of great inspiration” who “represent the Navy and Marine Corps qualities of overcoming, adapting and coming out victoriously despite great challenges.”

Someone should remind the SecNav that Roxanna Green was killed that day, and Gabby Giffords resigned her seat in the house. The talking heads keep mentioning how tone deaf this administration is, and while I hate to use their words in this case it is sincerely appropriate.

Good to see the Navy being saddled with the burden of carrying the political water of the left. It's the fucking Navy, they are there to defend the country not ideology. Is it November yet?
