Burntpeen Ohmyballs here takes a flashbang straight to the wiener. And he deserved it. You know, this reminds me of playing Counter-Strike back in the day when every round would start with some asshat flashbanging the whole squad and then trying to team-kill as many people as possible while calling us all homos. Man, those were the good 'ol days, weren't they? No, they weren't.

I was watching this when it happened

Really though, I hope the ones that got beat up by batons really got beat up. Next time they won't do it. And i hope they get graped in their holding cells.

I could understand if the canuk fans where in boston and tore that place up after the game, but they are tearing there OWN CITY UP? What the hell is the matter with these people? The more I read about Vancouver says it used to be a beautiful place and very friendly, but now seem to be over run by street gangs, drug wars and thugs. This only proves that point. I really feel bad for the city as a whole, this is a very bad mark on the town and team and its fan.

Also this happened in 1994 last time the Canuks lost, but people forgot about that. What a bad day for the team and the city.

This is the craziest one I have seen. There is literally fires and looting in the streets.

if you believe this represents the city, you are sorely mistaken. the people who caused the damage were drunken teenagers looking for an excuse to run amok. there is apparently an organization out there that does organized vandalism, as shown during the G8 and i suspect some of them may be involved. to me the more amazing story is the hundreds of volunteers that showed up the following morning to clean up their city, i'd like to see that anywhere else.

I agree with pilot, same thing at the G8 summit in T.O. There will always be douche-bags no matter where and ready to start shit. Obviously a selected few had plans to do this whether vancouver won the game or not. Starting with the molotov cocktail: you need a few items to make one. So obviously it was planned. And yes, when a few punks start it they wait for the drunks to join them. The next day volunteers from the city (some with jerseys on) cleaning it up.

i posted that pic yesterday of them kissing it was in the real time chat box

This shit happens all the time, even if teams win. Erik would know this when they beat Michigan in football. Michigan State University used to do the same when they lost in the Final 4 in hoops. MSU used to be a yearly thing, this is just in my area & I'm sure this happens elsewhere. Michigan State resolved this easily, instead of officers trying to stop the riot they had video cameras, they posted a small reward to identify people involved in starting it; since then no problems. I hope Vancouver does the same, kudos to the bro getting a piece of ass, make love not war

Yeah,

I live in Vancouver, and I was in Downtown Vancouver when this happened.

Fucked up shit TBH. But at the end of the day, it was basically thugs that had an agenda like 20 group of people that decided to start this riot, then it was just the mob mentality getting out of hand.

Lots of pics / vids etc on these links.

But the True vancouver spirit is the mass volunteer of cleaning up the city in the morning, and the mass amount of people writing on the wood boards where the windows were smashed etc.
