Newegg.com - EVGA 03G-P3-1591-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) Hydro Copper 2 3072MB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Instead of getting 2 of these and having to deal with busting my Liquid cooling system apart and rerouting all the tubes
I am thinking about just getting 2 of these
Newegg.com - EVGA 03G-P3-1584-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
and maybe one of these
Newegg.com - ViewSonic VX2753mh-LED Black 27" 1ms Full HD HDMI LED BackLight LCD Monitor w/Speakers 300 cd/m2 DC 30,000,000:1, (1,200:1)
The monitor I have right now is a 21.5 inch LG so it would be an upgrade to the 27"

Plus how often do we buy vid cards. I buy that shit more than I buy underwear. I would have to crack the loop back open when I bought new cards.
I will probably get 6 more gigs of ram too
Newegg.com - CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP12GX3M3A1600C9

what do you guys think? oh and waiting for the next cards to come out is completely out of the question cause I am an impatient old fuck

Don't buy any cards just yet. This is my advice. Nvidia 600 series launch in like 60 days. April 12th, if I remember reading right.

I would wait until the release; one of those cards is going to be pretty close to two of those 580's; plus it's going to be under $600. If your going to get a monitor go with a 120hz; the pictures on those are really nice.

What monitor should i get? i dont want a 3d one but i want a badass 27 incher that is not to expensive

The air cooled cards are 3gb cards too. if they arent i posted the wrong ones. only diffrence is on has waterblocks

The Asus 27" monitor is bad ass and less than $300.00 at NewEgg. Not 120Hz though, but still awesome.

Go check out a 120hz monitor and see if you want it. I don't use the 3d except when my kids are playing Dirt 3, but the difference on everyday use and regular gaming is absolutely amazing. I would also wait on the card; you could go monitor now and wait 60 days for the card and end up getting the same (or close to it) performance with better image quality with the 120hz for about the same money.
