Some of those other videos maybe over the top, however I want to chime in on this:
Study.. leads to knowledge, which upon application leads to understanding...
I am a Christian, and I trust and believe in Jesus by my own choice... I'm not the kind of Christian who is going to run around and cram a Bible down your throat because like many, I struggle to live my life the way a Christian aught to: like Jesus. We are all entitled to our own spiritual beliefs, however me believing in Christianity, doesn't make me any less of an intelligent individual, a less logical person, or any less of a man and I think that is something I want to make clear.
Speaking from a Christian standpoint, what evil or misdeed did Jesus's teachings bring upon our world?? Treat each other the way you want to be treated? Love your neighbor like yourself? forgive and forget? Help those in need?
I don't think those types of teachings are unrealistic. Do you?
As far as revelation is concerned: It describes a vision that God gave John of the what we know as the end of the world or the "end times" it's apocolyptic and abstract, I believe that is a mutual understanding on both sides of the house, A vision can be an out of body experience similar to when you have a dream. The imagery that revelation describes is the end of the world, I am not in a position to say that it would play out EXACTLY how John saw it, however there is an expression that I think can answer the question: "The Lord works in mysterious ways", Ill leave it at that.
