JT Wang just vacated the CEO position and Jim Wong who was to replace him is also out.
Both the founder of Acer Stan Shih and his co founder are returning to lead this company. But come on the dude is 68. A business leader he may be its hard to keep a modern company going on leadership alone. I sure hope he can craft a future for the business in this day in age.
Acer backed out of the consumer market years ago and focused on business PCs only which I always felt was a huge mistake. When they returned they gained a bad reputation through high failure rates. With all the shakeups that have happened with the desktop manufacturers and Acer already pushing the low cost mobile market that is so today. I just don't know what could really set these guys apart from the crowd and lift them out of this hole.
