That's so true getting utterly useless responses. Good post! :).
 
Have you tried powering it off? Is it currently plugged into a router? (routers are always the problem) Well sir your modem shows perfect signal and I don't see any drops recorded in the modem. Well sir that might be because you had me power cycle it 15 times after having done that already.
Then they say they are going to send a tech out and never do, or the tech shows up and "fixes" it and 20 mins later the internet goes down again..... Any guess who I am referring to?
 
After being transfered like 10 times I finaly get reponses like "sorry sir but there is nothing we can do for you." I mean come on, why didn't they tell before passing me around the whole room.
 
I used to transfer the really annoying callers to 1800-ABCDEFG, It never seemed to work tho... False advertising with Hooked on Phonics, cause it didnt work for them. Course then again Im one of the only techs that I know of where I worked (13 years ago) that did a full Format re-install over the phone with a customer cause one of our other Techs fucked her PC up... Gotta love Win 95 and its 4 or 5 floppies :)

Um that's Windows 3.1 (or 3.11). Win95 came on a CD.
 
I love #'s with the name included in the number...1800URFUKED; I have a Black Berry a lot of good that does me...Fukin retards. Oh and I love being on hold for 45 mins too for a one minute question. What ever happened to the real people; I think my gas company has one person, I hit every # on the pad and was hitting all kinds of shit, just to speak to someone. Always hit the "make a payment" option because they really want your money, then start hitting shit and somebody will promptly assist you.
