So I upgraded from a bluetooth logitech to an Anker 8200 DPI wired mouse. I couldn't believe the difference in smoothness and response, and having all the programmable buttons is a god send. So is there any significant benefit to having a wired keyboard as well? I would figure no, because the mouse benefits from a much quicker update speed of constantly varying input where a keyboard is usually just constant press or single press. Just wanted your opinions on it.

Also what keyboards do you use? I find that my hand feels like it's binding up because the keys are so close together. I currently have a Logitech K340 keyboard.

I just got the corsair k70 rgb its mechanical keys are deff more spaced out which took a minute to get used to but once I did I love it. after the first time my wireless keyboard batteries went dead during a WOW raid boss fight I went wired and haven't looked back.

I'm currently using a Logitech G510 keyboard, and I love it for a few reasons. It's backlit, for one, since I'm mostly a night player. Backlit colors can be adjusted. It also has a "joystick mode" which disables the Win keys so that way you don't automatically hit the key and pop open the Start menu. The keys also feel more stiffer to me when compared to wireless keyboards.

Using Bluetooth for anything performance sensitive is on the worse side of stupidity. Bluetooth has horrible lag and the only thing worse is a WiFi mouse. I have a wireless mouse that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between wireless and wired. Any mother who thinks they can I can just trick them by plugging its cable in and leaving the other end unplugged. But the cost of performance is battery life. Its horrible.

Wireless mice make plenty of sense for gaming. But keyboards don't. If you need to lean back or whatever then get a second one. If your keyboard is Bluetooth please have someone beat you to death with it :)

Corsair K70 here as well, you would be shocked how many times you press a button and not get a response with anything but a wired mechanical...

Maybe it's not bluetooth. It's wireless where you have a usb that plugs into the computer and connects to the keyboard via a wireless signal I guess. I don't see any input lag on typing. I'll be getting a mechanical one regardless though.

I'm carrying a Bluetooth keyboard for my tablet and its bad. I had 2 choices. I could use something compatible with logitecha unifying receiver which my mobile mouse does or go Bluetooth. Wanted to keep the USB port free. I'd hate to play a game with it that's for sure.
