Curved monitors

I'm narrowing my search for a new monitor, and I was wondering what the consensus is on curved monitors?

It's 34 inches. Is that Ultra wide? I'm not sure what constitutes ultra wide. It's wider than my current 27 inch

it is ultra wide and curved, you gonna take some time to adjust to it, is wayyy to wide

I use a 32" curved at home. Absolutely love it. Make sure you use the display port connection, as HDMI is normally capped out at like 60fps. Even though the fps counter shows you are getting higher than that.

Crap, I just realized the stand for it is this triangle prong thing, and won't fit on this 14 inch platform my current monitor sits on. My desk is weird, it's old and has this iron bar that sits about 3 inches up, used to hold these metal monitor platforms. That platform is only 14 inches wide and the stand is 22 inches wide. Meh..

So you need a new desk... I would select one that is long.. hard.. and firm.. oh crap.. wait.. what are we talking about again?!?!

I like the idea of a curved monitor =) But I use dual monitors in a basically curved format. My next route is probably going to be something like this

you get problems when you got that big and often have to force resolutions on games to make it look right......we still have a ton of games that dont support 21:9 aspect ratios native......going crazy like that link you end up running 2 GPU's to get the 5th monitor
