Way to get the same exact case as me! Poser! haha jk, awesome case. lookin good
Might want to route that CPU power cord up the back side of the case though, not that my cable management was that great either. Messy as hell. Might go back at it tomorrow when I get my sound card and put that in...
Get around 26-29 C idle which is good, but ran prime 95 for like 25 minutes yesterday it peaked at about 66, which seems hot to me. Pretty sure the contact is good but can't be certain
oops, fixed :P
Don't know exactly where it's coming from. Hasn't come back yet. All I know is when I started using the GPU heavily it went right away. If it comes back I'll do those things, appreciate it. And thanks!
All finished! Only one problem. When I first turned it on, everything was fine. But then I went back and put in all of my hard drives that were in my other computer, and now it's making a buzzing noise. Hard to describe. Sounds sort of like a fan but higher pitched. Seems to be coming from the...
Yeaa I'm thinking 16GB is the move. Defintely helps a lot for futureproofing.
Just came back from micro center. That place is awesome haha never been before. They don't have the 4690k yet and don't exactly know when they'll get it, but it looks like it'll be price at $200, so only $10 more than...
Of course! :)
Still need to order the SSD, CPU, and RAM
Almost thinking I may have room in my budget for 16GB RAM. Worth it or no?
Probably gonna drive to mirocenter later today once the traffic dies down and see if I can get my CPU
Ordered Windows 8 today because Newegg had a promo, only $85...
haha sweet.
Perhaps the last thing to be decided then is the CPU. The 4590 is solid, and can be bought for $170 from Microcenter. However, the 4670k can also be bought there for only $201, which is what I was willing to pay for the 4590 originally anyway. And I can have fun overclocking with...
I'm sold, Windows 8.1 it is.
Just switched my PSU to the 650W EVGA, saves me about 33 bucks, don't need all that power. Only difference besides 100 fewer watts is it has 4 rails instead of one, but oh well. Both GOLD, fully modular, all black sleeving, and lots of SATA connectors. All the...
sort of leaning towards windows 8, as much as it pains me to say haha. The whole metro tile thing can burn in hell but I think with the start menu back, the new features and improvements make it worth it
