Any football fans?

Like Raz & gotta go with the hometown kittens; only thing I can say is Barry Sanders; other than that no offensive line..epic fail. The sorry thing is the last winning coach was let go by Matt Millen, imagine that. For college I pull for the Maize & Blue, U of M. I spent at least 4-5 Sat. tailgating & getting drunker than fuck. Last two seasons for both has been a failure of epic proportions.

Nah, the Lions might not be in the playoffs this year, but they'll be way more improved than last year. You guys have a great quarterback, running back, wide outs. Shit, you even got a great looking D-lineman in the draft if I remember correctly. You need some corners and a tight end but this year's team will look nothing like last years.

I watched a lot of the Bengals, 49ers, and Lions last year on Directv. The Lions were fun to watch because they showed some life finally. I just hope that O-line is better. They need to protect your QB if they're going to succeed.

I think my raiders are gonna shock the NFL world this season...

Hey balls not to be mean but you don't know shit...Did u even pay attention to the teams we beat last season and who we drafted this last draft...I would honestly be shocked if we don't win 8 games or more...

Really 8 games? Don't drink the Kool-Aid man. And who is gonna lead the offense, Jason Campbell? McFadden? Heyward-Bay? Yeah...no.

Campbell's actually a decent quarterback. I think he's been fucked over having a new offensive coordinator practically every damn year he's been in the league.

But hell, even with just a decent quarterback the Raiders were a different team last year. I'm not a Raiders fan by any stretch, but I do think they'll be much better this year, and I hold my breath when I say this, but the Lions too.

Sixer knows what im talking about...We beat 3 playoff teams last season and when gradkowski was in we went 2-1 and then he got hurt and Jabust was brought in...Our whole season was basically crap after that...

Campbell's definitely an upgrade from Gradkowski. And seriously, Soldier, did you see the Raiders play when Gradkowski was starting? They actually looked like a football team. The opposing defenses couldn't just sit on the running game because the Raiders had a quarterback who could throw the ball....to his own receivers. Sad, but true.

The current draft is going to be totally different than past drafts...yea....no; if you buy into that, you would be jacked every year being a Lions fan. Soldier your forgot to throw in Tom Cable. Great coaches & GM's make all the difference in the world.
Al Davis was lucky to have Madden as a coach;

I'm not too much of a football fan. I'll watch the "big" games. I don't have any football video games and never have in the past. Not a fan of football video games.

Hell yeah Canada has football teams. You never heard of the CFL? They have a 19 week season with one bye week, if I'm remembering correctly. And three downs instead of four like the NFL.

I like the CFL's formula for playoffs better than the NFL. The CFL is a lot more comprehensive (fair) in deciding their rankings as they consider:

  • Number of wins;
  • Number of wins between the tied teams;
  • Net aggregate of points scored between the tied teams;
  • Net quotient-total points scored divided by total points conceded- of points scored.
  • Number of wins in divisional games;
  • Net aggregate of points scored in divisional games;
  • Net quotient of points scored in divisional games;
  • Net aggregate of points scored in all games;
  • Net quotient of points scored in all games;
  • Coin toss
Plus, it's just plain fun to watch them play in the snow :)

So far things are looking good for my Raiders during practice...I hope all this translates into regular season...

How bout them Cowboys!!! HEHEHEHE.

My blood still runs orange from my days growing up in Tennessee. Nothing like 100,000 screaming rednecks wearing bright orange on a Saturday in Knoxville.

it's not as big as the Big House; but, I know they are more wild than U of M fans. It's great that all of these schools have great fans; I've been to South Bend(Norte Dame); Columbus(OSU); Madison, WI(U of W); Miami(Orange Bowl); East Lansing(MSU) & Chicago (Northwestern). You can always find a good party & and the good thing about college girls...they stay the same age.

I'm friends with several guy's from Michigan who all say U of M is one that if you get the chance....GO. I always had more fun at college games. Mostly went to SEC or ACC and a few PAC 10. Wife was a big UCLA fan and one of my old buds always drug me along to watch the Ducks play when they came to SO.CAL. I have to say we always wondered if our wheels would still be on after the game at the L.A. Coliseum!

PRO ball is fun but like Balls said, lets just say the atmosphere was different. Last PRO game I ventured to was when it was still the LA Lambs. Raiders were still there but they sucked almost as bad as they do now! San Diego was always a good game.
