Any Plans on Starting a "Star Citizen" clan when it drops?

Well we have a clan... I'm sure many of our community members will try it out.
 
A number of us here are backers and I suspect we will be playing together as available.

I am going to start an exploration station once the star maps drops.

it's the most advanced space sim ever created.. you ever play freelancer? it will be like that but 100000x better
 
I am going to hit this like girl on prom night.

Note = "Hit" refers to the act of "doing it" and not any sort of violent strikes to a member of the female gender(unless she is into that)

I think you meant to ask if we are going to be involved in it. Probably some of us will.

While they will have private servers after launch, they won't be connected to the main Persistent Universe. The PU is entirely run by CIG.

But the private servers will be open to modding. I can't wait to see what some of the community will come up with.

Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Bbaylon 5, Firefly...
 
I'm $285 in so far. I think it will be totally successful, but also a little niche.

I agree. It will be interesting to see what the actual business model is for non-backers.

Personally, I'm spending my money on it because I believe in it - not because I expect to get God-like treatment for spending more money than people who play once it launches.
I'm looking forward to this quite a bit.
 
I am actually a backer if sc. Chris Roberts and I sat over coffee. I am an engineer trained at techion. He will have trade organizations, but no clans. Its not planned for, as combat is not the major focus
