Mind you things are going to change especially for amd with drivers. But Game Patches and drivers for both so take this with that in mind.

Here are some highlights:

Looks like nvidia comes out in ultra and amd in high. Though they seemed to have skipped the 6990 due to crossfire issues on the ultra test. Based on the 6970 performance it doesnt seem like in ultra for the moment it matters.

What is needed for ultra:

Core count test AMD's FX-8150 versus I7-2600k

With the i7 down to one core the game would not start and with Bulldozer you cant get it to one thread due to the fact the 8 cores are in blocks of 4 dual threaded units.

Looks like the i3's came out like a champs. But id want to see a core 2 duo in this test which only do 3 ipc versus 4 with newer arch:

Good read Rain. My 460 does alright for me, but I'll upgrade come tax time.

I've been running medium on a 5870 averaging 70-75. Get my second card today which should let me run on high without issue.

Wonder why they didn't show the 6990 fps on ultra; but, they show it on high.

I read it through. Good read.

To bad the guy doesn't have a Mars II card. I bet that thing would have smashed some serious numbers.

IN the article the guys states that the card would cause a system crash when the 6990 was on Ultra settings or something along the lines of that. Either way he had some issues with the 6990 and Catalyst drivers.

Now there's a shocker, fucked up video drivers for the AMD cards? Never...okay, almost never? Would you believe almost always?

Well in AMD's defense all they did was fail to release a driver at all. Thats the difference at the moment. Nvidia made a release date and AMD is still working on it. But it goes back to their older problem which they have fixed and that is slow releases. They are quicker about it now but this is a title alot of AMD owners would like to play and theyre Fckn people right now lol.
