Im from Texas but never had BBQ this good. Its called Phils BBQ. I had the half rack of baby back ribs, fries, and mac salad. This was unbeievable. Here is a video from Man vs Food about the place. Thought you southerners or BBQ lovers would enjoy.

I agree with Texas BBQ, I went to a place south of Temple...and OMFG that shit was good;

Psh, ya'll should go further sound like Corpus lol, miss my home, that and I enjoyed Lumberton right by Beaumont.

like temple tx? thats like 15 mins from my house
No wonder your name is MEAT...
Supra next time you go there try the tri-tip, never seen that before. Looks good. Love real barbecue, and I like that show. Pitmasters was awesome.

Sorry, I have to give props to Eastern Carolina for pig picking. Texas may be the shit for beef, but nothing tops Eastern Carolina for a hog roasted all day.

OMG you mean the vinegar based stuff? That shit tastes like cancer :( Lots of people here (I'm in eastern NC) love it, so I guess there's a market for it lol. To each their own :) Memphis style ftw!

Zappy, I guess when you drank enough while the hog is roasting, the vinegar based stuff is like honey. Besides, slap some slaw on it and it's all good. Actually, I like all kinds of BBQ and can make lots of styles. Slow cooking, good beverages, and some tunes make all BBQ great.

Very true, beer and booze makes a lot of things better :)

These guys have sold out - don't blame them. Unbelieveable in its prime. Worth it if in Syracuse.

I like Kansas City style, but to be fair I haven't had a lot of Memphis style.
I'm sorry people but Chicago does it right. Come to

Taste of Chicago it's a fat man's heaven!!!
Taste of Chicago is great, but kind of a cartoonish version of what it used to be. I like deep dish Chicago pizza but our BBQ is only so so. Carsons has good ribs, but not great BBQ really.

I went to Lone Star last week for the first time they had great BBQ, It was awesome

I ate at the Dino in Rochester, NY and it was good; but not as good as the place in TX. Sorry, Fasty but the chain restaurants don't count. I travel 26 weeks a year roughly so I eat at a lot of different places. The Dino, Phils, & good unique places make it worth the while. I aways ask local people, "where is a good place to eat."

Yah I live right near there so I've been to dino bbq a few times.

Also went to the Kreuz's BBQ near austin when I was down there. Supposedly the best BBQ in texas. Wasn't impressed.

But the bbq i had at Rudy's which is a chain that claims to be the "worst bbq in texas" was actually fuckin amazing.

Rudy's is in my hometown of san antonio, its a great BBQ. Different than anywhere else. When you order they give you a loaf of bread to eat with it, pretty cool. They defiantly got a unique way of doing things. Def the worst BBQ in Texas lol.
