Borderless vs Fullscreen BF4

Which mode do you guys prefer and why? In the past i liked borderless mode for using multiple monitors but now my FPS is locked to my monitor unless i use fullscreen. Also either my ram or GPU is slowly dieing. In the test range the vehicle icons on spawn screen take 3-5 seconds to pop up.

I think there is no better way it's more about which setup you have... Personally I use just one monitor but a 27 inch monitor with window screen mode and not borderless. I like how fast I can go from full screen to smaller screen to see my other stuff like TS and this website by example. Also I use different window sizes depending if I am seeding servers or not.
 
Well since reading this I'm giving Borderless a try. I used to fullscreen it because it's was the default LOL
I tab in and out of the game a lot to do things on my 2nd monitor (check TBG forums, change songs)
Using Borderless removes a temporary black screen when I switch from the game to do tasks on the other monitor.

what I want to know is do you guys ever get a random ALT TAB while playing? Then the Fullscreen Mode would change to Window Mode. It's super annoying especially if I'm flying or TV'ing. Maybe it won't happen to me anymore with Borderless
 
Yeah i tried window mode and my fps were not locked but seemed not very smooth as if using vsync even tho it is off.
 
In fullscreen mode, i just push the windows button and it goes to desktop and i go to where i want from there. But like i said, borderless is the best of both but my fps is locked when it wasnt in the past.
 
I guess we are calling it a different name but it's the same... Personally when I am on full screen mode on the window mode I just press the letter (J) like to speak in chat but it allow me to change the window size or to minimize the game window very fast without having to worry about that transition with the black screen. For the Alt(Tab I think you can do that in both ways but it never happen to me. But I guess that it depends of the way you play and the setup of your keys. Pretty sure you can change that if you happen to hit these keys often...
 
there are 3 different modes: Windowed, Borderless, and Fullscreen
 
Ok than I use the Windowed mode in full screen and custom size. If you have a monitor large enough you won't even realize the difference while playing.
 
I know each one has a different effect to GPU as well, windowed mode has most strain because it has to render the game,desktop and any other monitors while fullscreen just uses the game. Also in fullscreen my screen doesnt flash black, it just goes windowed oddly enough then when i click it, it goes back to fullscreen.
 
Well I think you just answered your own question :P For you situation borderless is the best of both world because of your computer reaction time. I don't even use half of the GPU while playing in Window mode so that's why I keep doing it since it's so fluid.
 
well the problem i am getting is that it is capping my fps in borderless mode when it did not do that in the past/

Not saying this is your issue, but my experience with this is the GPU overheating. Have you tried lowering settings to see if it continues? Or having Origin Ingame enabled sometimes causes it.
 
i know for me on low settings i get bad texture rendering and popping in. Doesn't help i have a gtx 760 2gb version. but still good. I think windows 10 is my issue and i want to go back to 8.1.
 
Just tried using Nvidia DSR and my game froze and crashed. That is new for it too.
