Activision readies subscription service for "Call of Duty"
In what is thought to be an industry first, Activision Blizzard this fall will begin offering a subscription-based online service titled Call of Duty Elite. The offering, which will be tied to the next edition of the popular game franchise "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," will include extra content and downloadable map packs that give players new levels to play.
