Since I never use a Mic i don't have one and the only reason I do actually have one is there are 3 built into the lid of the laptop for conferencing.

Sadly this whole deal with rebuying BC2 and then blowing twice what BF2 was worth among the parking ticket I just got and everything else I just spent money on i dont have enough for anything fancy.

I saw Logitechs cheapo model at walmart for 8.88 and passed it up thinking it might not be any better then what I have. Looked on newegg and saw it again. I can pick that up without starving myself but I could possibly still throw 20 at something If i had to.

Not a fan of wearing headsets due to ear comfort but they are an option. So any opinions would the Logitech 980463-0403 Desktop Microphone 600 work better or do I need to aim higher? I only intend to use it for Vent/TS to annoy people less.

Get a headset from Sennheiser. They are built to last. I've had my PC160 for over 4 years.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more! :).

I said Cheap lol so that leaves us here - Newegg.com - SENNHEISER PC21 Dual 3.5mm Connector Single Ear Headset

Anything more expensive then that will have to wait a couple of months. Renewing my registration among other things with my next check. Traveling to NC to see a dying family member the check after that.

After that I can actually throw quite alot at one, but I hear im as annoying on the laptop as someone else.... wont say names. July = My new android phone and just after that is my TV. PC at the end of the year for BF3. Im a broke ass gamer.

I know zalman makes a great clip on mic that ppl recommended when someone's headset mic breaks...lemme look

I have one of those Zalman mics. I'll toss mine in an envelope and send it to you for a few bucks plus postage if you want.

You may want to Check out Gigaware headsets & mics.

I have the Gigaware USB Stereo Headset with Microphone and they only ran me $29.99, however based on what you posted you may want to look at either the Gigaware Earclip Mono Headset with Microphone @ $9.99 or the Gigaware® Foldable Headset @ $14.99.

Before purchasing these I had gone through several high end Logitech & Microsoft headsets but after using the Gigaware USB Stereo Headset for the past year I will never waste money on overpriced headsets again. Don't get me wrong if you looking for a decent headset or mic to use with your PC for gaming these are excellent value but if you looking for high end quality headsets to listen to music with, I would suggest the BOES AE2 audio headphones. They're not cheap @ $149.00 but they are well worth it.

I hope you didn't just recommend Buy.Other.Sound.Equipment, Shockwave.

i would say get something cheap for now. and save up for some Sennheiser's theres alot of us that use them, i have the sennheiser pc 350's and they are awesome. sound quality is top notch and they are made to last. This is the one thing so far that Soulzz has promoted which is definitely worth every penny.

The reason I recommended Sennheiser is because you pay a lot up front, but they last a LONG time.

Yea that's some real top dollar stuff but well worth the investment if your willing to spend that much up front.

i paid $200 for my pc350's when they first hit the market. had them for a couple years now and they still sound and feel like new. i would have gone through at least 4 or 5 cheapo $20 mics by now so im still down maybe $100-$120 but these dont seem like they will ever die. and if they do i wouldnt hesitate to buy another pair.

Yeah, and when I heard you say this I thought "so what, that's bullshit". Then I tried the PC-350 and was blown away by how much better, cleaner, and crisper the sounds were over any other headset I've ever heard...and I got a set.

They cost a lot, but they are the best sound quality IMO and if they last a long time, even better.

i absolutely love my sennheiser headset, best addition to my gaming rig i ever got. now i hear someone behind me, whip around and put 2 in their chest. bullets that is (sorry soulzz)

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah I am debating on putting off this parking ticket a month and just paying the penalty so I can get a nice headset lol. Its one of those things I didnt expect lol.

As far as headphones I am no audio freak, I like my music and actually had a pretty decent build planned for my truck. But the headphones I use are actually a set of 20 dollar sony's I have had for 6 years now and until I put on something different theyre the best I have had. Then again thats in comparison to alot of junk. I typically listen to shit in an isolated environment so the use is rare.

Meh I still seem to be having an issue finding somethung under say 50 60 bucks which is my max atm. Thanks eurphuct for the gamecom plantronics suggestions. They seem to break alot though.

I wish I had time to stop by best buy today and just grab something but I wont be able to. Anyways thanks and I will keep the search up.
