I'm getting so pissed with all the constant crashes and freezes i'm having. Also after the last driver update or game update a lot of times i'm having issues with the maps flashing quickly. I think a new video card is in order next month. Need to save some cash up.

What are you running now? Did you manage to do a full driver clean before installing the new drivers?

I was running SLI before I got my 780 GTX Classified with my 560 GTX's

I found that by only running one card I was getting better FPS / no FPS drops than with SLI - but of course this was like a month ago so not sure if new drivers fixed that for BF4

That's one of the reasons I got rid of 2 cards and just decided to get one nice one. No more issues like that, and your whole system is cooler as a bonus. More importantly though, all buggy graphic glitches in BF are gone. Too bad they don't know how to code for SLI or crossfire.

Yeah I need to save up and get a single decent graphics card. Just don't know if I should get an AMD since that is the CPU I use to Nvidia.

'tis the case for DX9/10/11. Mantle and NVAPI seek to change that... but the traction is very low as of now.

Stick with a single really good card for another 2 years or so IMO.

If you think you can handle the noise and your case can handle the heat, get a R9 290. IMO, the price/performance is absolutely unbeatable right now. It performs at least 90% close to a 780Ti in most cases, for 60% of the price.

If you can't handle the heat or noise, get a 780 or if you have the dough, 780Ti.

If your config allows, you might want to look into the 3-fan R9 290s that are coming out. Note that all that heat will be dumped inside your case though instead, so it better have decent airflow.

Edit: Like this one (just one out of many): http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/sa...and_r9_290x_with_tri_x_triple_fan_cooler.html

I have 2 7970's and for the most part the Xfire experience I have had is mixed. Nothing to painful but I wish it was less annoying.

Heatsurge I think those are out of my price range. I'm looking in the $300 range

IDK about $300, but the R9 290 is $400 ;-P . Spend $100 more, get 2x more performance ;-) ... maybe. Like I said, I don't know what you can get at strictly $300 or below. Newegg had a 5% sitewide so the R9 290 was more like $385... but not right now.

I sympathize especially because the latest Dec 16/Dec 20 patches messed up SLI configs. I have 3x GTX 780 and have pulled one out to run only 2 now. Its pretty annoying to have had the gear but the functionality was broken after the most recent set of patches

I have to settle for sudden downward frame spikes now. It could be worse, at least the ground isn't flickiering anymore
