Oh hell yeah USB mics have hella amplification. don't forget windows turns down the input so you will probably be at 20 percent volume to start it can go way up.

... ... ... HAHAHAHAHAHA Yeah thats pretty much what did in all the mice as well. I had a peice of shit GameCom 308 before I got my 380's and the cord was shit. Walking away from my desk with them still on did them in. The cord on the 780 is great especially thanks to the USB connector. The 380's cord is good right up to the connector split which looks to me like a weak point. I should probably tie the end of the cord to something.

I spent 120, not 200, not 300 on my pair of Sennheiser 160's -- almost 6 years ago!
Plantronics or Sennheiser will do fine for you if proper care is taken for your equipment.
Plantronics probably has cheaper pricing. I prefer Sennheiser, but you cannot go wrong with either one.

When I joined TBG and asked for a cheap headset in the 20 dollar range. You were the first to reply and all you said was Sennheiser. It was either 20 bucks or no headset at all and the only Sennheiser for 20 bucks was a one speaker headset lol.
Then everyone went to the PC350 which was a 230 dollar retail 150 dollar shady market item. You might have not spent 200 to 300 but it doesn't deny the fact no one on here has a concept of cheap or nothing! AH sigh speaking of which this comes close to me being here for 2 years as my car registration is one again up for renewal.
