Its a LOGISYS FP52....i think it was a wrong buy..lolz

The card reader and the USB controller are part of the monitor?

did u try the manuf. website?
Tried everything but it wont work besides that manuf website is useless and couldnt find any driver.....and Beaver the card reader is into my computer and the monitor has 2 usb ports conected in the ports on the on the backside of the pc.....

Did you build this computer yourself? If so what is the motherboard brand / model #, and if not what is the model and brand of computer? If you unplug the USB cables that go to the monitor now and plug another USB device into the ports on the back of the tower your using for the monitor, do they work?

If they don't work are they wired up inside the case to the mother board? Also I am unsure without knowing the brand of motherboard, but I have seen the ability to turn off USB ports on certain motherboards in the BIOS settings.

Edit Not sure about the card reader. When I do a search on "LOGISYS FP52" I get results for a fan controller.

My mobo is an Asus M4A77D and was a replacement of my burnt mobo few weeks ago...about the reader its just wired inside the mobo on those little conectors dedicated for usb. Bob i tried unplugging the usb cables but i get a little message on the screen telling me that windows got an error and the device will not work properly....

After your motherboard burnt out, did you reinstall windows?

If your motherboard is different in any way, a reinstall is always a wise idea. Sounds to me like this may be your case.

If you did reinstall, just make sure you have the proper chipset drivers for your motherboard and OS.

Well since i replaced my mobo i had no issues using it from the beggining but at that time i had XP and later on i went Win7 so it was pretty working pretty good but my old reader dint work on Win7 so i tried a different one on the new system and thats where im stuck ...

I just installed the driver but its not designed for Win7 so i had to open and re-wire the reader on a different conector and started just fine......sob i hate that. Thank you very much Bob,Beaver,Balls and Corky... :)
