I got played today and I wanted it today. So I walked into a T Mobile store and paid 429 bucks cash for a 350 dollar phone.

I have had such a hard on that I ripped a hole in my work pants. I will use my name tag as a safety pin later. Will have to change the name to say Peter.

Oh its so nice to be on a decent phone again. Its a shame I'm now at work and the main boss is here gonna be hours before I get to really use it.

No LTE makes you not as fast as me. Since your fast and I'm obviously slow... It just doesn't make sense.

I see, fast and slow comparaison...BURN...im hurt how could you?

Okay well i guess I will have to buy nexus 5 so I can be as cool as you. Will you be my friend after I get it? (probably a 6 months from now :)

I think we need to get Galaxies to be friends so we can bump them.

I wasn't kidding about the hole in my pants. I fucking triple stitched these and they still failed:

I am using the Nexus 5 as well. I bought it unlocked though. My carrier is T-Mobile also.

The Nexus 4 and 5 isn't sim locked to begin with even buying from T Mobile. But you pay a premium if you want to buy it outright from their store.

The nexus 5 unlike the nexus 4 is actually completely untouched not an ounce of carrier software not even visual voice mail.

I have a Moto X on Verizon

As much as I'd love to be on Verizon and as awesome as the X is I wanted something GSM and bought outright.

I'm paying 30 bucks a month for 5GB of data and I love it.

Awesome dude! Solid phone. My Brother in law has it as well and loves it. Obviously a lot more needs tinkering out of the box (notification lights for example) but thats kind of the point. I actually envy the look and feel of the phone compared to my S4.

Did the Nexus 5 JUST come out? I was at a Verizon store the other day and they didn't have it.

Nope. Been out for a number of months. Verizon doesn't have it. the Nexus 5 is only available for GSM + Sprint.

Coming from CyanogenMod 11 I'm right at home on the Nexus but it does lack some things. Once I get home I will have CM on it shouldn't be too much tinkering but I play with stuff a lot anyways.

Came out in like November I think.

Verizon is never going to carry a Google device again the way shits going. Verizons decision.

So... what is the better phone. Nexus 5 or S5? And should I be on Verizon or AT&T for this?

S5 is still a rumor. Your in Cali stay on verizon get a Moto X.

Verizon chose to never again carry a Nexus phone.

Hmm. Moto X? I'll do some research and see if it's worth while, unless one of you has one?

Motherfucker do you read. Its one of the first replies. Moto X on Verizon. Apparently I forgot about fast so its like number 7 actually lol.

Google bought Motorola Mobility. The Moto X is a very comparable phone to the Nexus 5. It gets is updates pretty quick too. Verizon probably ruined it though. Lookup boot loader unlocking on it to see what differences verizon has on its model.

So far getting the best battery life I have ever had out of a phone that doesn't have a ridiculously awesome battery. I have yet to run it all the way. Day 1 I ran it 9 hours with 2 hours of screen on time out of the box without every having charged the device and it still had 30% left.

Here is todays work day. Didn't use the phone much. 3 hours of streaming music on Pandora and only about an hour of screen on. Total run time 10 hours with 64% left:

Starting to think I can get 16 hours on with 3 hours of screen on time. Will see soon. The best time I ever had with my Galaxy S2 was 50 hours on and 2 hours of screen on time. But typically it would die in 8 hours with 3 hours of screen on.

T-Mobile has been doing some good things to shake up the cell phone market. Offering to pay EFT fees has me considering dumping Verizon. My only hangup is friends who have had really poor experiences with T-Mobile customer service.
