Here is the situation. Built computer. 3 motherboards, two processors and two different sets of memory. Still can't get the computer to post or show video. I have done everything I know to do and something still is not working. Thought the memory was bad, replaced thar, still showing dram error light on motherboard with the new ram I bought. Called asus they said it was the processor, so I got a new one. Guess what same problem, drma light, no video. I have swapped everything out and still nothing will work. At this point and ready to send everything back and give up cause I don't know what else to do. I'm running the same set up as balls so I don't know what I did wrong or what is different. Anyone got any bright ideas?

box it and ship to me , i will make it work and ship back. other than that my hands are tied and its all in your lap.

Did you try swapping out the video card?

no sid, i wasnt joking around nor do i need his or his parts. just offering some help in one of the easy options i can.

What MB model is this? The Asus Rampage III...? Extreme, Rampage, Gene?
Are you sure you're using the correct cable from your PSU for the CPU power? Is power connected to you video card?
What CPU do you have? What slots are your RAM sticks in? Have you tried resetting the CMOS before powering up initially?

It could be your MB is not grounded correctly, did you try taking it out and booting from the box. Or your Power Supply is shit. Grab a PS tester nice little tool to own.

Also, don't forget you have other resources like:<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="4"><tbody><tr><td valign="top">Asus Support page: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Here's what Asus has for the problem you described:

What do mean booting from the box?

Put the MB in the cardboard box it came in, have nothing underneath it but the box, connect the CPU, CPU cooler & fan, and video card, MB power, cpu power and try booting it that way first.

It was a short, he had an extra standoff from his old build in the MB that was causing a short. Booting in the box worked right off the bat. Supra should be good to go now. I'm glad you found the problem Supra!

I wish I got off that easy, as you know it still wont boot in the case. Even with the extra standoff pin taken out. Booting out of the box works fine. Still have some more troubleshooting to do.

Maybe try plastic washers and standoffs for the motherboard mounting, that would eliminate the short for sure. Also try and isolate which screw is causing the short by removing them all and booting. Then install one and reboot, then one more and reboot etc. etc. until you know which one it is. You could possibly just not use that screw. Might want to make sure there is nothing from the case itself grounding onto the mobo. Really bizarre problem, not sure how the hell you figured this out sixer but damn good find.
